Look through replies to relevant discussions for people describing the setup problem you solve. In 11 discussions I'd replied to while looking for potential users, I found 3 comments about problems my target customers face. For your demo environments, that gives you a concrete problem to respond to instead of asking a supportive contact to find a reason to try it.

When looking for potential users, I found a relevant Ask HN discussion in the newest-post list that my keyword searches had never surfaced. For your video downloader, try reading the newest posts in communities where people discuss downloading videos too; searching for explicit requests can miss someone describing the problem in different words.
How long did it take your app to start building a real audience?

Six weeks brought 47 signups in the saasbuild founder's own Reddit recap, with 28 coming from Reddit. They spent about four hours a week posting and replying; all 4 paying users came from Reddit, and 1 later churned. For your audience timeline, I'd count paying users who stayed alongside signups.
