How it differs from other tools
Which tools watch communities for you, and how do they differ?
This page doesn’t rank anyone. Pick by what you need: if all you want is alerts, the free one is enough. Every line was checked on each tool’s own pages on October 14, 2026, and these tools change.
Tell me when someone mentions my keyword
Reading, judging and replying are all yours.
- F5BotFree · availableReads the posts and comments of every subreddit, and Hacker News and Lobsters too, and emails you when someone mentions your keyword. The free plan is enough; there are also plans at $9.99 and $49.99 a month. In one tally it was the only tool people recommended without being paid to.
- SyftenFrom $29.95 a month · availableIt says its delay on Reddit is under 1 minute, and it reads posts and comments. Each filter is one search.
Filter them for me first
Too many alerts; someone should check first whether each is worth it.
- OctolensFrom $159 a month, billed yearly · availableIts Reddit page says new mentions arrive within 1 to 2 minutes and that it reads comments too; on its pricing page the cheapest plan says hourly refresh. AI checks relevance first.
- RedShip$29 to $49 a month, billed yearly · availablePicks out threads where people ask for what you sell, ranks them and sends the best to your inbox. You write the reply. It also has a small free tool for looking up subreddit rules.
Draft the reply too, and I’ll send it myself
Once you’ve found the post, the reply is the hardest part to write.
- Subreddit Signals$29 to $59 a month · availableFinds posts and ranks them by fit. When you ask, it drafts a reply for you to edit and post from your own account.
- ahahmmPrice not set · not launched yetReads on your own computer with your own sign-ins, a few rounds a day, so it can’t deliver within a minute or two. After you send, it keeps watching for replies.
Post for me automatically
We advise against it. Platforms are removing accounts that do this.
- ReplyGuy$39 to $499 a month · still on saleIts higher plans list auto-replies, and on Reddit it hands you accounts it bought. 404 Media reported on it filling Reddit with promotional replies written by AI. Hacker News has banned AI-written comments since March 2026, and X removed 42,000 auto-replying accounts in July 2026.
I used GummySearch
It shuts down on December 1, 2026.
- GummySearchNo new users · shuts down December 1, 2026It could not reach a commercial licence with Reddit. It covered finding where customers are on Reddit. That half works today in ahahmm’s Communities, with nothing to install.
What ahahmm adds is drafting by the rules of each place, and watching for replies after you send.
It can’t alert you within a minute or two, and it hasn’t launched yet.
