First worry

No guarantees.

Whether a post is removed or an account banned is the platform’s call, not ahahmm’s. Here is what it does.

On the night of October 12, 2026, one of ahahmm’s own Reddit test accounts was banned. It was four hours after a change that made it read more, and Reddit gave no reason. Since the next day, there is a cap on how much one account reads in a day.

  • Before it reads a platform, it shows you that platform’s terms in their own words and the risk to your account. It starts only after you press “I understand”.
  • It reads at a person’s pace, a few rounds a day, public pages only.
  • For each place’s rules, you get the exact words and what follows from them. Where they haven’t been read, it says so.
  • Where AI-written text is banned, the draft says so underneath, and sending is your decision.

Hacker News on automated reading, in its own words

In connection with your use of the Site you will not engage in or use any data mining, robots, scraping or similar data gathering or extraction methods.

Second worry

Will it post for me?

No. Hmm finds the people, judges the posts, drafts the reply and fills it in. The last press, “send”, is yours, on the platform’s own page.

  • It doesn’t press send for you: you make that last press yourself on the platform’s page.
  • No bulk sending
  • No automatic DMs
  • No reading of DMs or group chats

Third worry

Where does my stuff go?

Your projects, sessions, sign-ins and keys stay on your computer. Only three things leave it.

Your computer

Stays here

  • Your project folder
  • Your AI sessions
  • Your sign-ins on each platform
  • Your model key

Hmm works here

posts it read→replies it drafted→you read and edit

requests for public pages
To the platforms it reads for youMade with your own sign-in, straight from your computer. They don’t pass through us.

Sending happens here too: on the platform’s own page, by your own hand.

the post and your product
To the model provider you choseYour product description, the post in front of you, and facts from your project.
a daily knowledge fetch
To usOnce a day it fetches the knowledge about each platform; the request carries nothing of yours. If the knowledge graph has no customers like yours, it asks once, and you can switch that off in settings.

Hmm reads your project folder and AI sessions to understand what you’re building and what you have to say. It only reads them and never changes them.
