What leaves your computer

ahahmm does its work on your computer, with your own sign-ins. This is everything that leaves it, and who receives it.

Your computer

What never leaves

  • Your project folder
  • Your AI sessions
  • The text of the posts it read and of every draft
  • Your sign-ins on the platforms
  • Your model keys

the edge of your computer

  • To the platforms it readsRequests to read public pages, with your own sign-in. Straight from your computer, not through us.
  • To the model you choseYour product's description, the post in front of it, facts from your project.
  • To usNothing, today.
Later, each behind its own switch:
    • the question the app asks our knowledge base
    • your license code
    • counts of results, off unless you turn it on
    • a case you choose to publish

Nothing goes to us today

The app as it is today sends nothing to ahahmm. It has no account and no telemetry.

To the platforms it reads

It reads public communities from your computer, with your own sign-in, at a person's pace. Those requests go from your computer straight to Reddit, X, Hacker News and V2EX. They do not pass through us. It never reads private messages or group chats.

To the model you chose

To judge a post and draft a reply it sends the model your product's description, the post in front of it and facts from your project. The model is your own, through your Codex or your own API key. Settings says which provider it is, who receives the data and who pays; it never switches on its own. Keys are kept in the macOS keychain and nowhere else.

Four things for later, each with its own switch

A service behind ahahmm is being built. When it exists, only four things are meant to be sent to it, each written in Settings, the last two only if you turn them on: the question the app asks our knowledge base (what kind of customer, what kind of product, which language); your license code; counts of results, off by default; a case you choose to publish. This page changes before any of them ships.

This website

The site keeps what you type into the launch-notice form: your email, your one sentence if you wrote one, the language, the page you came from and the time; when the mail confirming it went out; and, if a beta invite was sent to you, when and what it carried. It does not store your network address, and its visit counts use no cookies.

The replay on the home page

The panel on the home page is a replay of the app's own screens, showing one real day of its first project, ahahmm itself. Other people's posts appear as they wrote them, with their names and links, beside the replies drafted for them. If one of those posts is yours and you want it gone, write to privacy@ahahmm.ai. It is taken down within 7 days.
